Bargain Boots!

Ok, so this isnt strictly an item off my list, but, I really feel the need to share my fabulous find today! It is no secret from my nearest and dearest, that I am a hopeless shoe-a-holic. I love shoes. I love boots. I love...well any kind of shoe really! Id be embarrassed to show my shoe collection, but to give you some idea, my fitted bedroom furniture is actually being designed and built around my shoe, (and handbag) collection. Yep its true, my name is Kerry and I have a shoe addiction.
Anyhow, my therapy needs aside, cast your eyes on these beauties!

I got these in the Mode in Pella sale, for the bargain price of £29.95, reduced from £60
Love them, and cant wait to wear them with skinny jeans and chunky knitwear. As I was waiting for the assistant to get the boots boxed, another pair caught my eye that seemed to good to leave there!
Boot pair number 2;

I love these versatile boots, and the fact they have a wedge means they will be great wear-all-day boots. The mock fold over at the top adds a bit of interest, and they look fab with the black jeans I wore them with this afternoon for a late lunch with my husband Nik.
these too were reduced from £69.95 to £34.95. I love a bargain!

Jo Malone - welcome to my home

When I visited my glamorous, oh-so-sophisticated neighbours house a few years back, I was met and enveloped by the most beautiful scent as I walked into her stylish home. My lovely neighbour has amazing taste in both the way she dressed and the classic styling of her home, and this scent just "felt" right.
On entering the lounge I saw that the smell was coming from a gorgeous candle burning on the coffee table. I was informed that this candle was "Jo Malone". This was my very first introduction to the Jo Malone brand, and I have wanted to own one of the candles ever since.

Well, if ever their was a time to convince myself that spending £40 on a candle was not over indulgent, it was this year, the year of "The List".

On a recent visit to London in January, my mum and I decided to go into Harrods for a look around. There is something about the architecture of Harrods, both inside and out, that gives me a little thrill every time I go there. I love the mix of people milling around within there, and the doormen in their classic green uniforms that open the doors for customers. I just love it all!

Of course, there is a rather lovely Jo Malone concession within Harrods, and as soon as we entered the department, the distinctive black and cream packaging and pretty bottles all lined up called my name, loudly!
I was in my element. After an eternity of sniffing, spraying, applying cream and being educated on the scents by the wonderful assistant, I did it, I made my purchase. I am the proud owner of a gorgeous Jo Malone candle. My first item crossed off "the list!"

Trouble is, I am now obsessed with all that is Jo Malone! I loved all the scents so will have to revisit soon.

Welcome! - "The List"

Walkin in heels is my personal lifestyle and loves blog that I know I will love writing, and hope some might enjoy reading. I decided to start it as this is a significant year for me! Later this year I turn 40. (there, I said it out loud and it was ok) phew!
I wanted to find a way to keep a journal, and I love writing and communicating, so thought this could be a fun way of recording this year, the year I learn to walk in heels! (an old boss used to say that Id know I was a grown up when I could walk, with grace, in heels)

You see, I have a list! From now on, it shall be known as "The List"

My long suffering husband, came up with a fab idea as 2012 was drawing to a close. He said that I should compose a list, with everything and anything on it that I want to do, or have ever wanted to do. These can range from the crazy expensive, to fun and free. Our aim, is to cross one item off a month, throughout this significant year. We are certainly not going to cross all off, but what a year eh!

Im looking forward to sharing!
